Lakers Youth Foundation and Jersey Mike's Subs Team Up for Month of Giving During the month of March, Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants throughout Southern California participated in a “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign to benefit the Lakers Youth Foundation. Customers who made a $5 donation received Jersey Mike’s branded Silly Bandz along with a coupon for free chips and a drink. HP Club Tech Dedication The Lakers and Hewlett-Packard (HP), as part of their Official Partnership, hosted an event with Lakers guard Steve Blake, two (2) Laker Girls and approximately 100 children ages 6-15 at the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank and the Greater East Valley (BGCA Burbank) on Monday. 2010-11 Chick Hearn Night On Sunday, November 21st , the Lakers honored the memory of their Hall of Fame broadcaster Chick Hearn with the annual Chick Hearn Night at STAPLES Center. Chick Hearn Night has been celebrated at the Lakers home game closest to Chick's birthday every season since his passing in 2002. As in past seasons, the Lakers highlighted education on Chick Hearn Night by awarding the Chick Hearn Memorial Scholarship and holding a book drive. Read More |
