Knicks Draft Andy Rautins and Landry Fields in Second Round

NEW YORK (June 24, 2010) – New York Knickerbockers have drafted Andy Rautins from Syracuse University with the 38th overall selection and Landry Fields from Stanford University with the 39th overall selection in the second round of the 2010 NBA Draft.

Rautins, 6-4, 194-pounds, played four seasons for the Orange and averaged 12.1 points and 4.9 assists as a senior in 2009-10. He finished his collegiate career ranked second on the school’s all-time three-point field goals made (282) and attempted (754) lists and became the 53rd Syracuse player to score at least 1,000 points (1,121).

Fields, 6-7, 210-pounds, played four seasons for the Cardinals and averaged 22.0 points and 8.8 points as a senior in 2009-10. As All-Pac 10 First Team and Pac-10 All-Academic First Team selections, the Long Beach, CA native led the Pac-10 and finished eighth in the nation in scoring.
