The second consecutive Korea Development Camp, co-organized by the Korean Basketball League (KBL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA), supported by the Korea Basketball Association (KBA), is scheduled for May 16 to 20, 2008 in Seoul, Korea, with the goal of developing local basketball talent and promoting the sport of basketball in Korea.
A total of 40 players aged 16 to 19 from across Korea, selected by the KBA based on their performance in the tournaments this season (including the 29th Seoul Middle School and High School Tournament from April 25 th to April 29 th and the 33 rd KBA Middle School and High School Tournament from May 7 th to May 15 th ) , will participate in the training camp of intense basketball train ing and personal development with NBA and KBL coaches and players as the camp coaches. The MVP of the camp will be selected to participate in Basketball Without Borders scheduled for July 3 to 6, 2008 in India.
Besides daily basketball training, motivational life-skills seminars will be conducted everyday for the campers on various topics such as leadership, character development and teamwork.
The NBA Coaches Clinic, a brand new element of the camp, will be conducted on the first day of the camp at which the local coaches can learn the world-class coaching knowledge from the NBA coaches via seminars and demonstrations.
