THE RESULT
The Knicks were able to end their six-game losing streak as they handled the Bobcats, 111-78, on January 24 at Time Warner Cable Arena. With the loss, Charlotte fell to 3-15 on the season.

TURNING POINTS
After a close first quarter that saw the Bobcats only trailing by three, the Knicks started to pull away as they pushed the lead to 10 at halftime. In the second half it got out of hand as the Knicks scored 59 points, mostly on dunks and 3-pointers, to the Bobcats 36.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Carmelo Anthony (career-low one point) and Iman Shumpert (three points), the Knicks first- and third-leading scorers respectively, only combined for four points, which is 34 points under their combined average… The Knicks dominated the Bobcats on the boards, outrebounding Charlotte, 53-33… The Bobcats had a tough time putting the ball in the basket, shooting only 33 percent (27 of 82) from the field, compared to the Knicks 50 percent (39 of 78).

BOBCATS PLAYERS OF THE GAME
Kemba Walker had a strong game as the starting point guard with a game-high 22 points to go along with five rebounds and two assists.

Derrick Brown stepped into the starting lineup and had a solid game with 15 points and four rebounds.

KNICKS PLAYER OF THE GAME
Tyson Chandler had a monster game for the Knicks, scoring 20 points to go along with 17 rebounds.

INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM
"I told the guys we have to put this one aside. We have a game tomorrow. I can’t put it all on these guys (who played tonight). If you take four quality guys off of any team you’ll see what they can do. That’s basically what we have, four players from this ball club that when they’re here, we’re going to be a better team."
- Bobcats Head Coach Paul Silas

"We started off well, but toward the end of the second quarter we started to slump. We didn’t come out with enough aggression or intensity in the third. We do a great job in our initial defense, but we couldn’t seem to get rebounds."
- Bobcats Guard Kemba Walker

GAME NOTES
Gerald Henderson scored 15 points to go along with Walker and Brown in double-digits… The Knicks got a huge night from their bench as they outscored the Bobcats reserves, 51-16… D.J. Augustin (Right Big Toe Inflammation) and DJ White (left knee contusion) both did not play due to their injuries.

NEXT UP
